Assessment involves a thorough examination of the patient and their history to gain a full understanding not only of the injury but what is causing it. In the assessment, we identify what needs to be treated and a personalised rehabilitation plan is designed specifically to meet your needs.
Karen McCann graduated from DCU with a BSc in Athletic Therapy and Training in 2010. She has worked with numerous teams and sports including Shelbourne FC, Raheny GAA, Gymnastics Ireland and many more.
What Karen has to say ' I am a firm believer in use it or lose it. We have become a population who are in seated and poor positions for most of our day. My aim is to get you moving (and sleeping) pain free and in a way that you can maintain it. Usually this does not involve having to be a member of a gym or using a lot of equipment. I think it is really important for each patient to understand why they have been having these issues. I understand that people have busy lives and that important final to play in, so I try to change habits that will benefit them. '
